In a first step, we analyzed the existing software and its functions, as well as the general conditions of use, the specifications of the users and the goals and vision of Rotronic.

Based on the results of the analysis, two different UX approaches were designed, which would strongly influence the information architecture:

• Devices centered and
• Functions centered

Both approaches were presented to the client using wireframe mockups, which visually demonstrated the advantages and disadvantages of both variants.

After Rotronic had decided on the version with a focus on the functions, a UI concept was developed taking into account the corporate identity, a style guide for implementing the designs was created and various UI screens in desktop and mobile format were implemented as a reference.
